Dead Frog Brewery – Immaculate India Golden Ale Review
From the Aldergrove based Dead Frog Brewery comes the Immaculate India Golden Ale. This Golden Ale is told to be a hoppy variety of a classic golden ale that is perfect for summer or in this case fall. Pouring with a finger and a half of lacing head the Immaculate IGA is a golden colour and smells crisp and fresh. Notes of light and slightly piney hops stem from the Cascade, Centennial and Zythos hops but do not take over completely leaving room for some citrus notes and malts that shine through. The flavour is light while remaining flavourful. The hop-tones come through strong from the start but build into a balanced-pine finish. This happens all while notes of citrus compliment with a light sweetness along side. This beer is hoppier than expected with a sharp-bitter finish but is slightly different that you would expect and gives the IPA lover something unique to try out. The Dead Frog facelift is paying off as this is yet another delicious beer to come out of Aldergrove’s local brewery.
