Canuck Empire Brewing Co. – Star Gazer Chamomile Wheat Ale Review
The second beer to be released from the Canuck Empire Brewing Company is the Start Gazer Chamomile Wheat. This summer selection appears a cloudy, golden colour topped with a single finger of head which disperses very quickly and without a sight. The aroma is wheat heavy with a flowery smell to it from the chamomile along side a slight honey. The Star Gazer is lightly carbonated with a bigger than expected chamomile flavour to it. The flowery tones take over and add to the wheat texture in a unique and almost cinnamon-spice fashion. As the flavour progresses you can feel the chamomile in the sinuses and a honey sweetness emerges while the wheat ale base becomes apparent as well. This beer is bigger on the flavour than you may expect but still makes for a refreshing and enjoyable summer beer.
