Strange Fellows Brewing Co. – Talisman Pale Ale Review
The flagship beer from Strange Fellows that’s name resonates throughout BC is the Talisman Pale Ale. Now available in 473ml cans the artistically labeled can will resonate with those that had a crush on Ariel back in 1989, or those that appreciate a good beer label. From the tall boy can this relatively low alcohol (4.2%) Pale Ale Pours as a lightly clouded golden-orange colour topped with three fingers of lacing head. The Talisman smells strongly of mango, citrus and passion fruit hinting at the use of a Mosaic Hop. The tropical aroma is followed by a reasonably light bodied beer that kicks off with a flavour of mild hop, tropical fruit and a nice, malty base. The Talisman Pale Ale is a combination of Mango and tropical fruit hop tones, tasty malted notes and a very nice sessionability. This is a beer that you can feel good about drinking all day long on the beach but still enjoy a complex and very delicious pale ale flavour.

The Siren of the Seas is a fickle creature: Benevolent or spiteful, she can bestow a safe passage & a bountiful catch, or provoke storms & shipwrecks. Sailors have long cast gives of flowers, food or trinkets into the sea in exchange for good fortune. Talisman – our delicately dry-hopped & golden-hued ale with its tropical & citrusy aroma may be just the thing to encourage the Siren’s blessing.
