Postmark Brewing Co. – Awesome Session Ale Review
The Postmark Brewing Company teamed up with VancouverIsAwesome.com to brew up a Vancouver inspired collaboration beer called the Awesome Session Ale. Available for purchase in bomber bottles the Awesome Session Ale pours as a golden coloured beer that is topped with 2 full fingers of head that settles leaving a slight bit of lacing on the glass’s sides. An aroma of malt and a solid hop kick makes for a light smelling beer with a piney and citrus-hop infused note. In tasting the beer the body is light as the beer comes in at a low, 4.2% alcohol. A mid carbonation is joined by a light and malt forward body. A slight sweetness fades early as the hop tones build in the background. The combination of citrus and pine hop notes make for a big flavour, yet a light beer. The Awesome Session Ale is a tribute to BC and it is both refreshing, and flavourful. Does it live up to its name though? That is for you to decide.
As the label puts it, “A refreshing, dry hopped Northwest Session Ale that uses bravo, chinook, centennial, and cascade hops, this AWESOME SESSIONALE was created for for everyone in BC to enjoy with friends – in our province and beyond. So cheers to BC – and cheers to you!”
Alcohol – 4.2%
Size – 650ml
Hops – Bravo, Chinook, Centennial & Cascade
