Ravens & Doans Brewing Collaboration Kettle Sour Review
The first collaboration (hopefully of many) between Ravens Brewing in Abbotsford and Doan’s Craft Brewing Co. in Vancouver produced this Kettle Sour beer, dry hopped with Pacific Gem hops from New Zealand. The beer pours from the bomber bottle a light, cloudy yellow with three fingers of white head, leaving behind some lacing in the glass. Mild wheat and grain aromas emanate from the glass, as well as notes of grass and tart lemon. Flavours of grapefruit, lemon, and pith bitterness dominate in the mouth, though there are notes of grape, sour berry and woody tones. The finish is dry and lasting, with a definite puckering from the soured beer.

I really enjoyed this beer when it was released. I agree that Ravens and Doans both need to do many more collaborations.
