Fieldhouse Brewing – Dutch Pale Ale Review
Fieldhouse Brewing is currently the newest brewery in Abbotsford, BC and their inaugural packaged release is the first beer they offered on tap at their brewery: the Dutch Pale Ale. The beer pours from the 473mL can a clear golden colour with one finger of off-white head, dissipating fairly quickly and leaving no lacing on the glass. The beer’s aromas are subtle but include notes of citrus and grass, as well as fresh bread and wheat. The flavour is of citrus peel, wheat, and some mild herbal tones. In the mouth the Dutch Pale Ale is smooth and creamy with a mild bitterness that lingers but is not overpowering. Fieldhouse Brewing’s Dutch Pale Ale is a subtle, smooth, and accessible beer. It is definitely a good example of what to expect from the brewery as they move forward.
Alcohol – 4.5%
Size – 473mL
