R&B Brewing Stolen Bike Lager Review R&B Brewing Co. – Stolen Bike Lager Review

In the East Van Original series of beers from R&B Brewing comes the Stolen Bike Lager, a European-Style Lager. While those that have recently been victim to vancouver’s bike theft may be offended by the name it is none-the-less an accurate description for the area. This Lager pours from the bomber bottle a golden colour and is topped with two full fingers of lightly lacing head. The aroma coming from this beer is of European malt character and a light citrus note. The malt character has a touch of sweetness to it that seems to build the body and bring out some additional depth to the aroma. Tasting the beer it is bubbly on the tongue which gives a sharp, refreshment hit at the front. This mellows allowing the malt character to build with a light sweetness. The hop tones also come through with a citrus, lightly spicy character that gives a freshness and slight bitterness to the flavour. The Stolen Bike Lager is refreshing and light with nice traditional flavours and bit of extra hop kick for some added fun.

I agree with the “overview” with the exception it is overcarbinated. The person who wrote this comment is over critical to a fault and a way off the mark. This is a solid 4 out of 5 brew and the masters should be commended.
