Ravens Brewing Co. – Strawberry Rhubarb Sour Review
This year’s summer seasonal release from Ravens Brewing Company in Abbotsford, BC is the Strawberry Rhubarb Sour. The beer pours from the bomber bottle a cloudy, pinkish straw colour with two fingers of lasting, off-white head that leaves some lacing behind in the glass. This sour ale initially presents aromas of lemon, citrus pith, and fresh rhubarb, and is joined later by some notes of wheat and sour apple. In the mouth the flavour is of strawberry and sweet lemon, coupled with a mild pithy bitterness, some light berry tones and a hint of melon. Overall this sour has a light yet creamy mouthfeel with a lingering tartness that is perfect for a summer day.
