4 Mile Brewing – Grapefruit IPA Review
4 Mile Brewing Co. is the packaging brewery located alongside the very respectable Four Mile House brewpub on the highway west of Victoria. Here we consider their Grapefruit IPA.
Apparent successor to the 4 Mile Cactus Grapefruit IPA, this new-look beverage presented in a stark flat pink label design seems to be the same 6% IPA as its dressier ancestor.
You might expect that a Grapefruit beer would cause us to tick the Fruity box in our checklist, but actually this beer struck us as more piney and herbal than citrusy. It seems more bitter grapefruit rind than juicy grapefruit. At the time of this writing, 4 Mile’s website was undergoing reconstruction, so clues there were unavailable.
All in all it’s worth trying, but our conclusion was that one serving will do.
